Snow, Anyone?

We got slammed yesterday. It was that heavy, wet, great-for-making snowmen, awful-for-shoveling kind of snow.

I decided to brave the elements and take the girls to their dance class yesterday. When I arrived I found the parking lot had not been cleared. I decided to pull in just a little way so that I could get the girls in a little easier. Big mistake. I immediately got stuck. I felt pretty stupid, but I wasn't the only one, and wasn't stuck the worst. All the moms got together and pushed each other out until a big, strong, husband showed up with a big, strong truck and a rope.

After I got home from dance, Nathan and I (mostly I) shoveled our guts out until Burke got home to finish it up. I did the majority of it though. And counted it as my workout instead of heading to the gym yesterday.

Here is the big pile after shoveling about an hour and a half:

I am feeling it in my back this morning. Ouch!

Funny, I have a similar picture on my blog. Don't you love winter?
