Old As Dirt

Although (and because) we have had much excitement around here, I have only a moment to post.
I wanted to record for posterity what Annika said to me last night as we put the kids to bed.
I tucked her in and reluctantly took her book--Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone--so that she could get to sleep. (I hate to take a book away from a perfectly happily reading child.)
She asked me if I liked reading Harry Potter when I was little. I told her that Harry Potter didn't exist when I was little.
With her eyes big, she asked me, "Well, I guess you had to get to school in a wagon pulled by horses, right? That would be so cool."
Keeping me humble...

Nothing like a child's innocent comment to put you in your place!
