A Day in the Surf

Okay, we are finally back with the living. It was a good five days of cringing on the couch and watching Phineas and Ferb (they're actually pretty entertaining). Annika, Adrienne, and I are all feeling much better.

As for San Diego, it was fabulous. The weather was nice most of the time, the kids were fairly well behaved, and we saw and did some really fun things.
The first day there we decided to go to the beach. I thought the kids would be so excited to find shells and play in the sand. They liked the sand, but the shells were not so impressive apparently.

Burke decided to try body boarding, or whatever it is called. He went and rented a mini surfboard and ran off into the ocean. I documented it for posterity:
He let each of the kids have a try too. The boys loved it...The girls-not so much. Both of them crashed and drowned. Here is Adrienne's try:

I took my turn too. It was pretty fun, but then I had to come in because there was a rip current out in the area where I was "surfing". It was a nice day for relaxing, especially since we had been stuck in a car for hours. The next day we headed to Sea World.
Coming Soon...
